Once again, life has found a way of tossing me from the social ladder, and once again, I will have to find a way of climbing it. Starting January 16, I'm going to be going to a different school...one in my district, just because I moved from one city to another. I mean, comeon, it's the semester, it's already been half a year. Why not let me finish it?
I know lots of people out there have had much much worse problems, but transfering schools is just plain hard. Some people can make friends in a second, and some can't.
Over my entire 13 years of life, I've had to transfer schools no less than four times. And each time, it comes with a whole bag of emotional difficulties, not to mention a truck load of those concerning grades.
I've never had a best friend for more than two years. My best friends from the past had either been taken from me by transfering, or vice versa. A long time ago, I was too young to comprehend the whole emailing and phoning business, and so I lost touch. When I was in the later years of elementary school, my one best friend had to go, and, having mastered the uses of Gmail, I was determined, I was completely positive we'd remain best friends. I was wrong.
Apparently, sometimes people "forget" to check their email, or they never did it to begin with. But I think we drifted apart because we never saw each other, and we never really got a chance to talk. It's happened with a bunch of my ex best friends, I've gained many, and lost many.
Right now, I have a band of really supportive best friends, who care for me and love me for who I am. I am going to miss them so much. This time, with the use of a cell phone, I'm going to call them every single day, and I'm definitely NOT going to lose them this time.
Also, my parents haven't really been helping much. They're all, "Clean up your room!", "Do your homework!", "Stop dawdling, wash the dishes, do the laundry, cook dinner, vacumn the house..." all the time. (You know how asian parents are, always expecting A+'s, which is a basic average in their eyes.) And they even told me that just because I'm transfering, that does not give me the privalege to waste time crying and getting depressed.
I think that transfering is a pretty big deal, and that is a damn good reason to cry from. Seriously, right now, I'm considering putting on black leather jeans, ten pounds of black make up and jumping off a cliff.
